Omarchy inspiration. Your Mac.

Explore Omarchy-inspired themes on macOS, understand the difference from running Linux, and find a look to make yours.

Want an Omarchy-inspired desktop while keeping macOS? Riceapple’s Omarchy Rice Pack lets you explore a curated set of themes, from Catppuccin Mocha to Tokyo Night, in a browser playground. It is a starting point for your Mac’s appearance. It does not install Linux, replace macOS, or turn your Mac into an Omarchy system.

What does “Omarchy on Mac” mean?

It can mean two different things: running the Omarchy Linux distribution on Mac hardware, or bringing a similar sense of style and coordination to macOS. This guide is about the second.

For installing Linux on Mac hardware, check the official Omarchy Mac support guide. Hardware support and installation requirements belong to that project.

What is in the Omarchy Rice Pack?

The Riceapple-curated pack contains six themes: Gruvbox, Catppuccin Mocha, Vesper, Tokyo Night, Rose Pine, and Osaka Jade. Choose a pack to start with its layout and spacing, then change themes while keeping your layout.

The pack browser also includes the original interactive Omarchy desktop as a separate reference. Its 17 reference themes do not add themes to your Riceapple configuration.

Is Riceapple an official Omarchy port?

No. Riceapple is an independent macOS customization project. The Omarchy Rice Pack is inspired by Omarchy; it is not an official macOS edition or an installable Linux package.

What can I try right now?

Use the Rice Pack browser to explore the colors, then adjust gaps, borders, and layout in the playground. The app windows are styling previews. They do not apply changes to your Mac or establish that every pictured app has a native integration.
